Last December, the Community House of Moorestown spread its holiday programming over four days in two weeks. It started with a Monday tree lighting and ended with a holiday market on a Sunday in mid-December. This year all of it happens on one Sunday, December 6, from noon to 7 p.m.
That Sunday falls the day after the Moorestown Lions Club's 65th Annual Holiday Parade. The other big date is the Main Street Candlelight Stroll on Saturday, November 21. So Moorestown's 2026 holiday season comes down to two weekends you can circle now.
Four December dates became one Sunday
The Community House at 16 East Main Street calls the new format the Miracle On Main Street Holiday Village. Its announcement says it is "combining our three signature Community House events into one big celebration." Here is how those three events were scheduled in 2025:
| Event | 2025 schedule | 2026 schedule |
|---|---|---|
| Tree & Menorah Lighting | Monday, Dec. 1, 4–7 p.m. | Sunday, Dec. 6, 5:30–7 p.m., front lawn |
| Children's Holiday Shop | Friday, Dec. 5, 4–8 p.m., and Saturday, Dec. 6, 10 a.m.–3 p.m. | Sunday, Dec. 6, Club Room |
| Holiday market | Sunday, Dec. 14, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. | Sunday, Dec. 6, Artisan Crafters Market on the Lawn, Parking Lot and Ballroom |
In 2025, someone who wanted to catch all three had to go to the same building on three separate occasions. In 2026, one afternoon covers all of it.
The tree lighting has moved the most. It was a Monday-evening event two years in a row. In 2024 the 13th-year ceremony ran Monday, December 2, from 5 to 7 p.m., and in 2025 the 14th Annual Tree & Menorah Lighting ran Monday, December 1, from 4 to 7 p.m., with the tree countdown at 6:15. In 2026 it moves to a Sunday evening on the front lawn. A DJ and performers from the Moorestown Recreation Center fill the 5:30 to 7 p.m. window.
The market has grown each year
The crafters market shows the clearest growth. In 2024, The Sun reported that the tree lighting included a small "Holiday Market Shop" with four vendors. In 2025 the market became its own event on December 14, and the vendor application called it the Community House's "first Holiday Market." For 2026, vendors fill the Lawn, the Parking Lot and the Ballroom, and the market runs alongside everything else.
That's four vendors tucked into a Monday tree lighting in 2024, a standalone Sunday in 2025, and much of the property in 2026. If you make things to sell, the Community House is offering 8-by-8-foot spaces inside the club, garden and ballroom, plus 10-by-10-foot outdoor spaces. All spaces are first-come, first-served, and the 2026 vendor application is posted on the event page.
Here's the rest of the December 6 lineup:
- The Annual Children's Shop in the Club Room, where kids pick out small gifts for family members
- Roaming carolers
- Live music on the front and back patios
- Visits with Santa
- Live demonstrations and performers throughout the day
December 5 and 6 now make one weekend
The Lions Club parade is on the Moorestown Township calendar for Saturday, December 5, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. It runs along Main Street between Union Street and Chester Avenue. Put it next to the Holiday Village and the weekend looks like this:
- Saturday, Dec. 5, 11:30 a.m.–2 p.m. The Lions Club's 65th Annual Holiday Parade on Main Street, Union Street to Chester Avenue.
- Sunday, Dec. 6, noon. The Holiday Village opens at the Community House, with the Children's Shop, crafters market, carolers and Santa.
- Sunday, Dec. 6, 5:30–7 p.m. The tree and menorah lighting on the front lawn closes the day.
Last year, the tree lighting was on a weeknight four days before the Children's Shop opened, and the market came more than a week after that. This year, the parade, the shop, the market and the lighting all fall within about 31 hours on Main Street. If out-of-town family can visit only one weekend in December, this is the one.
November 21 has a family shift and an evening shift
The first of the two weekends starts on Saturday, November 21, and that Saturday has two separate events with overlapping hours.
From 4 to 8 p.m., the Moorestown Business Association hosts its Main Street Candlelight Stroll on Main Street between Church Street and Chester Avenue. Luminarias line the street, and shops and restaurants offer seasonal specials. The program includes a holiday pie-making contest, horse-drawn carriage rides, live music, a children's art contest and a visit from Santa. Only the event's sponsors take part, so it isn't open to outside vendors.
From 5:30 to 9:30 p.m., the Community House hosts the Moorestown Relief Engine Fire Company's Beerfest. The township listing says this is its 12th year and that it benefits Relief Engine Company. As of mid-October, the ticket page lists an adult ticket at $67.60, which includes a $2.60 fee. Groups of two pay $62.45 per ticket and groups of four pay $57.31 per ticket. A ticket includes:
- Unlimited beer tastings from more than 20 local breweries
- A wine room
- Live music from the band Next
- Gourmet appetizers and a fully catered dinner buffet
Beerfest is 21 and over, and guests need proper ID.
The two events overlap from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Families can catch the carriage rides and the luminarias in the late afternoon, and adults with Beerfest tickets can head to the Community House once doors open at 5:30. Plan your parking with both crowds in mind. The MBA says Main Street stays open during the Stroll, but parking on it is limited. It points drivers to the side streets off Main Street, the municipal lot next to the Moorestown Library at 111 W. 2nd St., and the lots behind the Main Street shops, which you reach from 2nd Street.
Before November 21
Halloween comes first. The Township calendar has the Moorestown History & Ghosts Walking Tours at Smith-Cadbury Mansion running through October 30. On Halloween itself, the calendar lists an open house at the mansion from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., followed by Halloween Night Trolley Tours from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. For more on Moorestown's year-round calendar, see our Moorestown neighborhood page and our guide to summer parks, pools and events.
Main Street looks its best on the weekends of November 21 and December 5–6. If you're thinking about a spring sale, the quiet weeks after the tree lighting are a good time to talk about what your home is worth and how to stage it.
